Contributors

The following have contributed their knowledge and experience of the waters around Bear Lake Wilderness Camp to the pages of this website. If you have any suggestions, or anything to contribute, please send to blwc@aol.com

Bob Abella

Bob Abella has been coming to Bear Lake for over 40 years. He can actually lay claim to breaking in four sets of owners. Bob is an Assistant Dean and Engineering Professor at the University of Toledo. A true disciple "Carpe Diem", Bob and his family have done just about everything there is to do at Bear Lake from Fishing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Moose Tipping, Geological Surveys, and Inventing the "Pin-the-tail-on-the-Bear" home game.

Scott Borchelt

Scott has been coming to Bear Lake for over 18 years. He is the author of the Burnt Cabin Website and the impetus for much of the content on the Bear Lake Website. Scott is the outdoor version of the "Party Animal". A founding member of Camp - Canoe & Brew, Scott can be found most weekends canoeing local streams in a Toga. In fact, if beer flowed naturally in the wild and he could find a place to boot up his laptop, he would have long abandoned civilization.

Bill Drane

Owner of Bear Lake since the 2001 season and Bear Lake veteran since the 90's, Bill Drane is the mastermind behind the current version of Bear Lake Wilderness Camp. He fell in love with the water, rock, forest and air of this edge of Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario's finest wilderness gem. Like a delicate CEO, an orchestra leader, he creates the vision and his family follows his correography. Together they are building one of the greatest destinations for families, fisherman and hunters in all of the Rainbow Country.
