Welcome to Bear Lake Wilderness Camp

Nestled in the La Cloche Mountains and in the heart of Ontario's famous Killarney Wilderness Park, there awaits a cozy and friendly adventure lodge with some of the best fishing in Ontario.

Our camp is on Bear Lake, which is the most remote lake of a connecting chain of 10 lakes on the northern boundary of Killarney Provincial Park. It's a 15.5-mile boat ride from the only road in the area to the lodge. Bear Lake is stuffed with Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Lake Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike and Perch. Bear Lake's claim-to-fame is the Bass fishing. We may have the best Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass fishing in Ontario and maybe all of Canada. Bear Lake is also known for Monster Trophy Walleyes.

Encircling Bear Lake are 25 other great fishing lakes. We have canoe or boat caches on these remote wilderness lakes. These satellite lakes are virtually un-fished with the exception of our guests who have an adventurous spirit and need to explore and find awesome fishing. These lakes are also stuff with Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake trout. We even have a secret trout lake with excellent Brook Trout fishing.

Other activities include Killarney Wilderness Park Canoe Trips with multiple portaging routes, camping, swimming, wildlife photography, rockhounding and so much more.

In the fall, after all the fishing and adventure travel guests are gone, we have hunting for Moose, Black Bear, Ducks and Grouse.
